THE 60-SECOND SELF-TEST
Try This Before You Even Request an Audit
Grab your phone right now, not your desktop, and run through this quick check on your own website. It’s the same thing a homeowner does at 9 p.m. when their roof is leaking or a limb is on the garage.
Search your own service, not your business name. Open Google and type “roofer near me” or “tree removal near me.” Do you appear in the map results? Do you appear anywhere on page one? If you only rank when someone types your company name, you’re only getting customers who already know you exist.
Time your homepage. Count how many seconds it takes to fully load on cellular data, not wifi. Anything past three or four seconds and you’re losing homeowners before they see a single photo of your work.
Try to call yourself in one tap. Is your phone number visible at the top of the screen without scrolling, and does tapping it start a call? If a customer has to hunt for it, many won’t.
Count the clicks to request an estimate. How many taps and how many form fields stand between a panicked homeowner and a submitted request? If it’s more than a few, you’re leaking leads.
Look for proof. Within the first screen or two, can a stranger tell that you’re licensed, insured, locally based, and reviewed by real Atlanta homeowners? If not, you look the same as the out-of-state operators that flood the metro after every hailstorm.
Check whether your services have their own pages. Do you have separate pages for emergency roof repair, hail damage inspection, tree removal, stump grinding, or land clearing? Or is everything crammed onto one “Services” page? Google can only rank what it can clearly identify.
Most owners fail at least three of these. That’s not a criticism of your company. It’s just what happens when you’re busy running crews instead of watching your website. Our free audit tells you which ones you’re failing and exactly how to fix them.
What We Actually Review
This isn’t an automated PDF spat out by a tool. We look at your business the way a customer and a search engine both see it.
Your local search visibility. Where you rank for the searches that produce actual work, like “emergency roof repair Atlanta,” “storm damage roof repair Marietta,” “tree removal Decatur GA,” or “stump grinding near me,” across the cities you serve. This is the core of local SEO and usually where the biggest gaps are.
Your Google Business Profile. For roofers and tree companies, the Google Maps results drive more phone calls than anything else. We check your categories, service listings, service areas, photos, posting activity, and review signals, then tell you what’s incomplete or misconfigured.
Your website’s technical health. Mobile and desktop load speed, mobile usability, broken links, indexing issues, security, and whether search engines can properly crawl and understand your pages.
Your on-page setup. Page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, and whether each page clearly communicates one service in one service area, which is what actually ranks.
Your conversion path. Where visitors drop off before calling. Buried phone numbers, long forms, missing photo uploads, weak trust signals, and unclear calls to action. Traffic without conversions is just an expensive visit counter.
Your AI search visibility. This is the piece almost no one is checking yet. More Atlanta homeowners now get answers from Google’s AI summaries and AI assistants before they ever click a link. We look at whether your business is structured clearly enough to be pulled into those answers, which is the focus of our AI SEO work.
A prioritized action list. Not a fifty-page report you’ll never open. A short list of what to fix first, second, and third, with the reasoning explained in plain language.
The Five Problems We Find on Almost Every Contractor Website
After reviewing roofing and tree service sites across the Atlanta metro, the same issues come up again and again.
One services page trying to rank for everything. A single page listing roof replacement, gutters, leak repair, and storm damage won’t rank well for any of them. Google rewards pages that fully answer one specific need. Same for tree companies trying to cover removal, trimming, stump grinding, and land clearing in one place.
No city pages. Homeowners search by location. If your site never mentions the neighborhoods and cities you serve in a meaningful way, Google has little reason to show you for “tree service Smyrna” or “roof repair Sandy Springs.”
Slow mobile performance from oversized photos. Contractors upload beautiful full-resolution job photos straight from a phone, which quietly turns a homepage into a five-second load on cellular. It’s one of the easiest wins we find.
No dedicated emergency page. Both trades earn their highest-value jobs during storms, yet most sites bury emergency service in a paragraph. A dedicated, well-optimized emergency page is often the single most profitable page a contractor can add.
Nothing that separates you from storm chasers. After every major hail event in metro Atlanta, unfamiliar trucks fill the neighborhoods. Local companies have an enormous trust advantage and almost never state it clearly: locally owned, serving this area since a specific year, licensed, insured, and still here in five years to honor the warranty.
Fixing even two or three of these usually produces more calls than doubling an ad budget. If your site needs more than patching, we’ll tell you that too, and our website redesign service rebuilds contractor sites on our own high-converting template.
Why an Honest Audit Is Worth an Hour of Your Time
You already spend money to get found. Maybe it’s shared leads sold to four competitors, maybe it’s ads, maybe it’s a website someone built years ago that nobody has touched since.
The problem is that most contractors have no idea which parts are working. You can’t fix what you can’t see, and guessing gets expensive fast.
An audit gives you the map. You’ll know whether your problem is visibility, meaning nobody finds you, or conversion, meaning people find you and leave anyway. Those require completely different fixes, and spending on the wrong one wastes months.
You’ll also get a realistic sense of timing. Ads can produce calls in days. Google Business Profile improvements often show movement in weeks. SEO builds over three to six months and compounds after that. Knowing the sequence helps you plan around your busy and slow seasons instead of scrambling during them.
And if the honest answer is that your site is fine and your problem is something else entirely, we’ll tell you that. We’d rather be useful than oversell.
Built for Atlanta Roofers and Tree Companies
We focus on two trades, roofing and tree service, so you never have to explain your business first.
We already understand hail season in Cobb and Cherokee, tropical remnants saturating the ground until shallow-rooted pines come down, out-of-town crews flooding neighborhoods after every big storm, and the fact that a missed call at 9 p.m. is a job lost for good.
We work with companies throughout the metro, including Marietta, Sandy Springs, Decatur, East Point, College Park, and Smyrna, plus surrounding areas across Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee counties.
I’m Gerald Harris, and I’ll be the one reviewing your site personally. I’ve been building websites since 2010, grew a YouTube channel past 60,000 subscribers, and have spent years helping business owners rank on Google and Google Maps. More about my background here.
Questions About the Free Audit
Is it really free, and is there a catch?
Yes, and no. No cost, no card, no contract. We’d rather show you we know what we’re doing than talk about it.
How long does it take to get my audit?
Usually within one business day. If you’re in the middle of storm season and need it faster, call us and say so.
Will you just tell me everything is broken so I hire you?
No. If your site is solid, we’ll say so and point you to what actually needs attention, even if that’s something we don’t sell.
What do you need from me?
Your website URL, your company name, your email, and your primary service area. Adding a note about what’s frustrating you helps us focus the review.
What if I don’t have a website yet?
Still reach out. We’ll review your Google Business Profile and local visibility, which matters just as much, and talk through what a site should do for you. Start with our website services.
Do I need SEO, ads, or both?
Usually both, doing different jobs. Local SEO builds exclusive calls that keep coming, while PPC gives you speed, especially with storm campaigns you can switch on when severe weather hits. The audit will show which one your business needs first.
Can you guarantee I’ll rank number one?
No, and neither can anyone else honestly. What we can do is show you where you stand today, what’s holding you back, and what realistic progress looks like.
